FAQs

Q1: Can a hub bearing cause my vehicle to make a clicking noise that speeds up and slows down with vehicle speed?

A: Hub bearings typically produce continuous humming or grinding sounds. A clicking noise that matches wheel speed is more often caused by a damaged CV joint, a stuck brake caliper slide pin, or debris caught in the brake dust shield.

Q2: Why does my new hub have a small rubber boot covering the ABS connector pins?

A: This boot protects the connector pins from corrosion and debris during storage. Remove it before plugging the connector into the vehicle's wiring harness.

Q3: Can I install a hub assembly without a press if my vehicle uses a press-in bearing?

A: No. Press-in style bearings require a hydraulic press or specialized installation tool to seat them evenly. Attempting to hammer them in will damage the bearing and the knuckle.
