FAQs
Q1: Can a bad wheel hub cause my vehicle to pull to one side?
A: Yes. Excessive play or uneven friction in a failing hub can alter the wheel's tracking, causing the vehicle to pull to one side and making steering feel unstable.
Q2: Why does the ABS light turn on after I install a new hub?
A: The most common reason is that the ABS sensor is too far from the new magnetic encoder ring, or the hub was installed backwards. It can also mean the sensor wire was accidentally pinched during installation.
Q3: Is it safe to drive with a loose axle nut?
A: Absolutely not. A loose axle nut allows the wheel to wobble on the hub, which will rapidly destroy the new bearing, ruin the brake rotor, and could cause the wheel to detach while driving.
