FAQs

Q1: Can a hub bearing cause a vibration that is felt in the seat rather than the steering wheel?

A: Yes. Rear hub bearing failures typically transmit vibration through the suspension into the chassis and seat. Front bearing issues are more commonly felt in the steering wheel.

Q2: Why does my new hub have a slightly different flange thickness than the old one?

A: Minor dimensional differences can exist between OEM and aftermarket manufacturers. As long as the part number matches your vehicle application and the wheel mounts flush, the difference is within acceptable tolerances.

Q3: Can I replace just the bearing inside the hub assembly?

A: On sealed hub assemblies, no. The bearing, hub, and sensor are designed as a single unit. Attempting to press out and replace just the bearing can damage the housing and compromise safety.
