FAQs

Q1: How do I know if the hub noise is coming from the front or rear?
A: Front hub noise is often felt as a vibration in the steering wheel and changes pitch when turning. Rear hub noise is usually felt through the seat or floorboard.

Q2: Can I drive with a cracked ABS tone ring?
A: No. A cracked or missing tone ring will cause the ABS module to receive erratic wheel speed signals. This will trigger the ABS light and disable your anti-lock braking system.

Q3: Do I need to replace the wheel studs when replacing the hub?
A: Not necessarily. If the existing studs are not stripped, stretched, or badly rusted, they can be reused. However, if the old hub was loose, always inspect the studs carefully.
